Summary
Work sector code was included as part of the Higher Education Staff data collection in 1988 as element 411.The element number changed to 511 to support the alignment with data elements in the student collection when HEPCAT was introduced in 2009.

Pre‑HESA: Element 411 was created and first used in Higher Education Staff data collection in 1997. It was changed to E511 in 2009 to be consistent with the numbering of elements in all other collections. |
