What is TCSI data used for?

The Tertiary Collection of Student Information is a framework for the collection of data from higher education and VET Student Loan providers, which is used to inform policy and programs, produce publications, and assist Services Australia with the administration of student payments.

Data collected through TCSI is used to manage student Commonwealth supported education loans. This data is also used to inform funding and reconciliation of provider payments.

Student data is collected under the Higher Education Support Act 2003, the VET Student Loans Act 2016 and the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency Act 2011.
