Students who commenced their course of study prior to 2010 and are undertaking a unit of study in the discipline of nursing or teaching are:
- to be coded 5 for units of study with a census dates before 1 January 2021
- to be coded according to the allowable values above for units if study with a census date on or after 1 January 2021

Summary
Element 392 was included as part of the Higher Education Student data collection under the new policy and program initiatives introduced under the Opens in a new window: Higher Education Support Act 2003 (HESA) which was implemented in 2005.
