TCSI webinars will recommence in January 2026.

The TCSI Support team will resume optional monthly drop-in sessions from 28 January 2026, with the first TCSI Monthly webinar to be held on 25 February 2025.

All scheduled 2026 monthly TCSI webinars are now available for registration on the TCSI News Centre webpage. These sessions are an excellent opportunity to get up-to-date information and to ask any questions you might have about TCSI.

The department is continuing to update TCSI reference data for the 2026 reporting year.

The combined HELP limits for 2026 have now been updated in TCSI. 

HECS-HELP, FEE-HELP and VET Student Loans with 2026 census dates will be assessed against the correct HELP limit. 

Any loans that were pending adjustment or rejection due to exceeding the student’s available HELP limit, have been automatically reassessed to determine whether the 2026 HELP limit increase will fully or partially cover those loans.

Higher Education Providers Only

Providers are now able to report SA-HELP loans with a E527: HELP Debt Incurral Date in 2026 (real time validation 11007 should trigger correctly).

Providers are unable to report the following records until the department updates the reference tables in TCSI:

• Commonwealth supported places for:
  • Universities with a census date in 2026 (real time validations 10444 and 10445 should trigger correctly).
  • Non-Table A providers with a census date in 2026 (units cannot be reported with a 2026 census date in courses with specified fields of education – E461: Field of education code/E462: Field of education supplementary code). The field of education codes will be updated soon after the allocation of places are approved.
• Approved Micro-credentials with a E534: Course of study commencement date in 2026.
• Provider OS-HELP loans with a E521: OS-HELP study period commencement date in 2026.

Commonwealth Grant Scheme clusters by course level report 

The higher education CGS clusters by course level TCSI Analytics report will display accurate rates for unit enrolments with 2026 census dates once the 2026 reporting year begins. Minor updates to cluster details back to 2021 will be made to improve the accuracy of the report for prior years.

Providers can use this report to view the mapping of discipline groups to funding clusters, along with supporting information on the Maximum Student Contribution Amounts and Commonwealth Contribution Amounts. This ensures providers have the correct cluster rates for their analysis and can apply the appropriate funding cluster amount.

An update is coming to the Expected Trends Provider dashboard!

The TCSI Analytics Expected Trends Provider dashboard will soon include equivalent full-time student load (EFTSL) for student liability. 

Providers will be able to view student load EFTSL by broad, narrow, and detailed liability categories.
