The student Loans Live Data Report shows a summary of loan information. It can be drilled into for further details.

Layout of this report

This report provides a distribution of VET FEE-HELP / VET Student Loans student loans for a selected reporting period/year based on the following pre defined set of criteria:

  1. Includes below Citizen resident indicator students.
    • Citizen/resident indicator (E358: Citizen resident code) is:
      • 1 Australian citizen,
      • 2 New Zealand citizen,
      • 3 Permanent visa other than Permanent humanitarian visa, or
      • 8 Permanent humanitarian visa





         
  2. Includes only VET FEE-HELP / VET Student Loans eligible students.
    • E490: Student Status code is:
      • 401 Deferred all/part of tuition fee through VET FEE-HELP / VET Student Loans

        – non-State Government subsidised
      • 402 Deferred all/part of tuition fee through VET FEE-HELP / VET Student Loans – Restricted Access Arrangement
      • 403 Deferred all/part of tuition fee through VET FEE-HELP / VET Student Loans – Victorian State Government subsidised
      • 404 Deferred all/part of tuition fee through VET FEE-HELP / VET Student Loans – New South Wales State Government  subsidised
      • 405 Deferred all/part of tuition fee through VET FEE-HELP / VET Student Loans – Queensland State Government subsidised
      • 406 Deferred all/part of tuition fee through VET FEE-HELP / VET Student Loans – South Australian State Government  subsidised

Number of Students

A count of distinct Students.

The data takes into account the coding of students to two or more Providers within the report. As a consequence, State totals may be less than the sum of all Providers.

E339 - EFTSL Uses the reported E339: Equivalent Full–time student load (EFTSL) value.
E384 - Amount Charged Uses the reported E384: Amount charged (Total amount charged) value.
E558 - HELP Debt Amount Uses the reported E558: HELP loan amount (HELP Debt Amount) value.
E381 - Amount Paid Upfront Uses the reported E381: Amount paid up front value.
E529 - Loan Fee Uses the reported E529: Loan fee value.

The report may not default to the latest Reporting year. The year can be changed by selecting a different year from the drop down to the left. Multiple years can be selected by holding CTRL and clicking the desired years from the drop down.

  • Is Committed
  • Is Adjusted

Notes

  1. Students are only counted more than once if they appear in more than one category in this report. Therefore, the total student count for each aggregated category may be less than the number of student loans that contribute to that total count.

  3. IsCommitted codes explanation :
    • All – A130 - LoanStatus = Any Value
    • True – A130 - LoanStatus = ‘COMMITTED’
  4. IsAdjusted codes explanation:
    • All – A130 - LoanStatus = ‘ADJUSTED’ or ‘ADJPEND’ or ‘ADJTRANS’ or ‘ADJCOMMITTED’
    • False – A130 - LoanStatus is NOT ‘ADJUSTED’ or ADJPEND’ or ‘ADJTRANS’ or ‘ADJCOMMITTED’
