VET Course of Study (VCO) (2012-)

The VET Course of Study (VCO) submission must be provided to DEEWR for all eligible courses in a particular year.

Data relating to these courses are subsequently reported on the following files:

  • VET Student Enrolment (VEN)
  • VET Student Load/Liability (VLL) & Revised Student Load/Liability (VRL)
  • VET Commonwealth Assisted Students (VDU) & Revised Commonwealth Assisted Students (VDU)
  • VET Student Revisions (VSR)
  • VET Unit of Study Completions (VCU)
  • VET Course Completions (VCC)

The primary element in the Course of Study submission is the E307 Course Code. This code identifies the course and links the submission to other related submissions.

The E307 Course Code is also the NTIS Course Code – shown in The National Training Information Service (NTIS) and in the VET FEE-HELP Information Technology System (VITS).

A course can only be reported on the VET Course of Study submission if the course has been approved for VET FEE-HELP by DEEWR through the VITS.

A list of these approved courses can also be accessed through the ‘View’ menu item in HEPCAT. More detailed information on this is available in the HEPCAT user guides on HEIMSHELP website.
