Verified TFN required for old OS-HELP loan change
Description
Error Logic
If an existing OS-HELP loan has a HELP Debt Incurral Date (E527) more than two years ago and a Loan Status (A130) of ‘committed’ and the student’s Tax File Number (E416) has not been verified in the last 48 hours, then the loan cannot be amended or deleted.
Error Resolution
Please check the HELP Debt Incurral Date (E527) for the loan and Tax File Number (E416) for the student. An OS-HELP loan that has already been transmitted to the ATO and has a HELP Debt Incurral Date (E527) more than two years ago cannot be amended unless the TFN has been verified within the last 48 hours.
If the requested deletion or amendment is needed, please re-attempt this within 48 hours of the student’s TFN being verified by the ATO.
When this validation is triggered, TCSI will automatically reattempt TFN verification, providers do not need to manually trigger TFN verification. If you receive this message, please reattempt to amend the record within 48 hours.
