The PIR specialisation packet is used to report specialisation codes (E463) for the student’s course. A provider may create up to four PIR specialisation packets to report up to four specialisation codes (E463) for a student in a course.

Scope

Providers are required to report a PIR specialisation packet for successfully completed course admissions. Additional packets are required when two or more specialisation codes (E463) apply to a student.

Reporting deadlines

Courses completed in 2024 are due to have PIR specialisation packet reported by 12 September 2025.

Uniqueness

Each PIR specialisation packet must have a value for specialisation code (E463) that is unique for the student in the course.
