Summary

Organisation unit code was included in the Higher Education Staff Collection in 1988 as element 410. The element number changed to 510 to support the alignment with data elements in the student collection when HEPCAT was introduced in 2009.

Pre‑HESA: Element 410 was created and first used in Higher Education Staff data collection in 1997. It was changed to E510 in 2009 to be consistent with the numbering of elements in all other collections.
