Summary
Element 390 was included as part of the Higher Education Student data collection under the new policy and program initiatives introduced under the Opens in a new window: Higher Education Support Act 2003 (HESA) which was implemented in 2005, with the addition of code "0", permanent visa holder. It was updated in 2009 to clarify the completion of transitional arrangements for pre‑2005 students. This element is only required for revisions or retrospective reporting of student data from 1 January 2009.
