Summary

Element 545 was included as part of the Higher Education Student data collection under the new policy and program initiatives introduced under the Opens in a new window: Higher Education Support Act 2003 (HESA) which was implemented in 2005. There have been addition and clarification of new codes 8 and 9 in response to the introduction of new scholarships. In 2010 two new codes were added along with updates and additions to names, codes and coding notes in line with policy requirements. In 2011 coding notes were modified to correct terminology.

Significant changes were made in 2017 to support updated legislation.
