Summary
Element 307 was included in the original Higher Education student data collection in 1987 and in 2005 continued as part of the collection under the new policy and program initiatives introduced under the Opens in a new window: Higher Education Support Act 2003 (HESA). In 2009 it was modified to expand the scope of the element for reporting of all offshore courses to support the Transnational Quality Strategy (Higher Education Student) by expanding the scope of the element for reporting all offshore courses. In the same year it was introduced into the VET FEE‑HELP data collection with a change to the description and code meanings to support interpretation by VET providers.
