2023 HEP Student Data Verification

Verification of 2023 Higher education student data has been activated and must be signed off by 3 May 2024.

Verification is part of provider's reporting requirements under the Higher Education Support Act 2023 (HESA). It is a declaration that the data reported for 2023 is complete, accurate and final. The department uses the verified data to reconcile your funding and to publish information on your organisation, including data on course completions and success rates. 

The verification process gives you a final opportunity to check your data carefully, as changes cannot be made to the 2023 dataset after verification is finalised. 

New Verification webpage

A new verification page has been created with comprehensive resources and instructions to assist providers completing the verification process.

It comprises information such as key dates, data submission resources, understanding verification reports, verification instructions and user tips.

We encourage providers to review this webpage for information that is tailored to your organisation's provider type. 

Upcoming support webinars

The TCSI Support team will cover information about the 2023 HEP Student data verification in our provider webinar on 21 February 2024. 

The webinar is aimed at staff responsible for submitting and verifying the 2023 student data for your organisation. Please forward the webinar details to relevant staff so they can attend, or access the recording, prior to verifying the 2023 student data collections. Staff can register to attend here.
