2022 PIR Student data submission and verification
Submission and Verification of 2022 PIR Student data is available in TCSI Analytics and must be completed by 17 November 2023.
Student data submission
The Provider Information Request (PIR) data reporting is a request for information under Section 28 of the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency Act 2011 (TEQSA Act). This document sets out the reporting requirements for the PIR providers for implementation in 2023.
All data is reported in data packets, as described in PIR Reporting page. Each packet comprises data elements. Detailed specifications for each data element are available from the TCSI Support Data Element Dictionary.
Student data verification
Verification is part of the reporting requirements under the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA) Act for PIR providers. It is a declaration to the department or TEQSA that the student data reported for 2022 is complete, accurate and finalised.
The verification process gives you a final opportunity to check your data carefully, as changes cannot be made to 2022 datasets after verification.
It is important that providers allocate enough time to prepare, test, submit and validate their data before the applicable deadline. Late reporting may result in a breach of the TEQSA Act with associated penalties and adversely impact the Up-front payments tuition protection levy’s risk factor results and the levy amount payable.
