Indicative student contribution amount

The indicative student contribution amount reported for the Indicative student contribution amount for a Commonwealth supported place (E495) is the approximate average cost of a course for a first year student studying full-time.

When reporting the indicative student contribution amount for the course that is:

  • 1 EFTSL or more - report the average annual student contribution amount; or
  • less than 1 EFTSL - report the average student contribution amount.

For example:

  • Bachelor of Science
    • Total student contribution over three years if taken full-time is $25,500
    • Standard course duration = 3 years of equivalent full time study
    • Indicative student contribution amount is $8,500
  • Graduate Diploma in teaching
    • Total student contribution over one year if taken full-time is $10,000
    • Standard course duration = 1 year of equivalent full time study
    • Indicative student contribution amount is $10,000
  • Graduate Certificate in teaching
    • Total student contribution for six months if taken full-time is $5,000
    • Standard course duration = 0.5 year of equivalent full time study
    • Indicative student contribution amount is $5,000
