Description
A code which records the cumulative total EFTSL value of credit/RPL offered at the reporting date towards the total requirements of the course, for all students with a commencement date of 2008 or later.

Allowable Values

| 0001 to 9999 | A student commencing from 2008 onwards: The EFTSL value of the credit/RPL offered at the reporting date towards the total requirements of the course. EFTSL value is expressed in thousandths (e.g. 0.125 is coded 0125) |
This element should report the sum total value of all credit/RPL offered to a student toward their current course, at the reporting date.
The value in this element must be greater than or equal to the value reported in E560.
Unless a student is coded 0000, further details of credit must be recorded in E561.
VET only
Reporting of data for this element is optional. VET providers may submit null values (spaces) instead of any of the listed codes.
Summary
Element 565 was included in the Higher Education Student data collection under the new policy and program initiatives introduced under the Opens in a new window: Higher Education Support Act 2003 (HESA) which was implemented in 2005.
The element was included in the VET FEE‑HELP data collection in 2009.
In 2011 there were modifications to coding notes to include coding example for EFTSL. There have been no significant coding changes to this element since.
