Description
For students with a commencement date of 2007 or earlier; the percentage of the course's requirements over all its stages for which exemption was granted by the time the requirements of the course were completed.

Allowable Values

This element should be collected only for students with a commencement date of 2007 or earlier.
For students with a commencement date of 2008 or later, this data will be collected under new element 565. The exception is where the student has completed ALL units of study for their course either solely through the Open Universities Australia (OUA) or through the OUA and another university.
In these circumstances a value of 99 should be reported.

Summary
Element 385 was included as part of the Higher Education Student data collection under the new policy and program initiatives introduced under the Higher Education Support Act 2003 (HESA) which was implemented in 2005. This element was modified in 2008 to distinguish between pre and post 2008 students for VET credit transfer. Later coding notes were added to clarify reporting of Open Universities Australia (OUA) students.
