Coding notes
The Recognition of prior learning code indicates whether the VET unit of study covered the provision of RPL.
Some providers create VET units of study that contain an element of RPL and ‘gap training’. These arrangements generally involve the student undergoing an RPL assessment before continuing on to complete the requirements of the unit through standard delivery of tuition and assessment. In such circumstances, providers should use code ‘2’.
